Türkiye Releases Provincial Export Data for Q1 2026

Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Trade has shared export data by province for the January–March period of 2026 with the public. According to the statement, exports increased in 40 provinces during this period, while 14 provinces recorded exports exceeding 1 billion dollars.

In addition, data released by the Ministry indicate that Türkiye’s total exports in the first three months of 2026 amounted to 63 billion 279 million dollars, representing a decrease of 3.1% compared to the same period of the previous year.

Provinces Standing Out in Exports in March

In March 2026, the provinces ranking in the top five in terms of export performance were Istanbul, Kocaeli, Izmir, Bursa, and Ankara. These provinces were followed by Tekirdağ, Mersin, Gaziantep, Sakarya, and Manisa.

According to export data by province of activity for March 2026, Istanbul ranked first with exports of 3 billion 816 million dollars, followed by Kocaeli with 3 billion 159 million dollars, Izmir with 2 billion 8 million dollars, Bursa with 1 billion 746 million dollars, and Ankara with 1 billion 192 million dollars.

Provinces Leading in Export Growth

The Ministry of Trade also announced the provinces with the highest increases in exports in March 2026 compared to the same month of the previous year. According to the statement, Yalova ranked first with an increase of 120 million dollars, followed by Şırnak with 56 million dollars, Kırıkkale with 43 million dollars, Elazığ with 41 million dollars, and Düzce with 39 million dollars.

In its assessment, the Ministry of Trade stated that policies and strategies aimed at market and product diversification are being pursued in line with the goal of achieving high value-added and competitive exports. It was also emphasized that spreading exports more evenly across the country is intended to contribute to a stronger economic structure through increased local production and employment.
